Week 5- The Finale

This week we read Buddha of Suburbia
Our first location was the museum of London that depicted London's history over the ages.  Below are images from the 70's when London was getting more multicultural. It was interesting to visit Brixton then learn of the riots that occurred there. Learning about the social issues and laws that were structured made Karim's experience as a half Indian man in the novel more real.

Our second location was the Pink Floyd Exhibit in the V&A Museum. There was so much to take in. Below is Pink Floyd memorabilia used in their music. They had shocking life changing productions. It was also a good chance to see what was going on during the time period of the novel.

Our last and final destination of our trip was the London Eye. It was a nice chance to get above a bird's eye view of the beautiful city our last day there. See you soon London!

Here is a link of what we learned this summer and the beautiful sites we saw!
